DHH PLAYGROUP offers children ages birth to five who are deaf & hard of hearing, their parents, families, and caregivers the opportunity to have fun and learn in a friendly environment that promotes language, early literacy, and social & emotional development. While implementing a Total Communication (TC)* philosophy, this group welcomes everyone to participate in play, songs, arts & crafts, stories, and enjoy the experience of getting together!  DHH Playgroups include, circle time, free play, table activities, and group snack time. Activities are presented using sign and spoken language. This is a great time for families who are just beginning to use sign language to practice their skills. While interacting with their children, parents have the opportunity to learn about hearing loss, discover resources, and support each other through chatting with other parents, professionals, and members associated with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities.  Annual registration required. Contact Jenny Geiken to register, jlgeiken@hnhnew.org. Register by January 15, 2018.
