Deaf/Hard of Hearing Advisory Council
The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Advisory Council advises the State Superintendent of the Department of Public Instruction in matters pertaining to educational services for children and youth who are deaf or hard of hearing. Specifically, this council carries out this function by identifying and prioritizing issues and needs of children and youth who are deaf and hard of hearing in the state of Wisconsin, acting as a conduit between professionals in the field of education and the policy bodies of the state. Recommendations are developed that facilitate educational opportunties for children and youth who are deaf and hard of hearing with input from professionals involved in providing educational opportunities for these children.
